16th Rotunda Singing

The 16th annual session of the Rotunda Singing was held on Saturday before the first Sunday in February. Four song books were used: The B. F. White Sacred Harp (Cooper Book), 2012 Revision; The Christian Harmony, 2010 edition; The Sacred Harp, 1991 edition; The Colored Sacred Harp.

The following officers were previously elected or appointed to serve: Chairman—Bill Hogan; Vice Chairmen—Jim Carnes and Joey Brackner; Secretary—Nancy Hogan.

The first session of singing was from The Sacred Harp. The class came to order singing 121, Florence.
Bill Hogan and Joey Brackner welcomed the class. Debbie Pendleton, representing the Department of Archives and History, spoke words of encouragement and support for the singing. Jim Carnes led 207, Louisiana.
Richard Mauldin offered the opening prayer.
