Website updates in April 2026

In April, on the minutes side, we pushed back our record of Western North Carolina singing to 1992, plus a few more sets of minutes for 1994—including the first-ever William Walker Memorial singing. All of that thanks to Dan Huger!

Our rise as a major food/recipe website has continued. This month we added Sue Smathers' Chicken and Dumplings, and Laura Boosinger's Coconut Creme Pie. If you can find better, don't bother to tell us, it can't be true.

Current "total songs led" count, from the minutes: 63,378. So that's 406 more songs led in the past month... or in 1992... or maybe 1994.
