Henry Guthery: b. 1942, d. 2024

From a tribute by Buell Cobb: “ [Henry] was a pure tenor, a really good one, excelling at the high notes .... And he gave good pitches; he was usually the one in the middle of the front row.

“When I first knew Henry, decades back, he told me, memorably, that at every singing he went to he wanted to be there "for two songs. The first and the last." I'm comfortable in thinking he rarely if ever missed the mark.”
