Announcements of upcoming singings were solicited. This was a strong year for our little singing, with 23 attendees from Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Having invited said guests to cool off at Paradise Falls or in the lake before staying to supper at her home, Nancy led 71, The Peaceful Shore, as a final prayer: “The Lord will safely guide thy course o'er life's uncertain sea and bring thee to the peaceful shore—the heav'n prepared for thee.” May it be so.
